Mikaela Mayer (20-2-1, 5 KOs) will defend her WBO welterweight title in a rematch against former belt-holder Sandy Ryan (7-2-1, 3 KOs) in tonight’s 10-round main event live on ESPN and ESPN+, with the top portion of the card being shown on ESPN and ESPN+ at 10:00 p.m. ET. The event is staged at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Las Vegas.
Last year, Mikaela, 34, defeated Ryan by a 10-round majority decision at Madison Square Garden in New York on September 27th. Before the fight, an unknown person threw paint on Ryan as she left her hotel room to head to the event. The incident upset Ryan, leaving her less than 100% for the fight.
