Bohachuk Vs. Fox Tonight In LA — Ukraine’s KO Machine Faces Lanky Spoiler On UFC Fight Pass

Serhii Bohachuk (25-2, 24 KOs) is back this Saturday, May 17, headlining the Hollywood Fight Nights triple-header at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. The hard-hitting Ukrainian takes on 6’4” veteran Mykal Fox (25-4, 5 KOs) in a WBC super welterweight eliminator, streaming live on UFC Fight Pass (10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. UK).

Also on the card: featherweight Omar Trinidad vs. Alexander Espinoza, and Mizuki Hiruta defends her WBA Super Flyweight belt against Carla Merino.

From Vegas knockdowns back to LA

Bohachuk is walking into this one off a war with Vergil Ortiz Jr. last August, where he dropped Ortiz twice but still got edged on the cards. He followed it up by torching Ishmael Davis in Riyadh and decisioning Brian Mendoza in Vegas. The guy’s been wrecking names, minus Ortiz — and he’s still got 24 KOs in 25 wins.

Fox? He’s tall, rangy, and last fought for relevance sometime in 2022. He’s got skills, a dad-coach origin story, and a serious height advantage — but not much power. You need more than jabs and good intentions when you’re in with a wrecking ball like Bohachuk.

This fight ain’t happening because Fox is a threat. It’s happening because Bohachuk needs a warmup before a world title shot.

Is Fox just another KO on the ledger?

Look — Fox is slick, defensive, and awkward. But you can only run so long before a guy like Bohachuk walks through you. If Fox can survive and frustrate the Ukrainian, fine. But if he gets greedy, he’ll be staring at the ceiling. Bohachuk doesn’t like to box. He likes to kill the rhythm and crush your ribs.

If Bohachuk wins — and let’s be real, he should — he’s likely next for a world title shot. This one is about statement-making. Another knockout, another body, and the WBC can’t avoid him anymore.

If Fox somehow upsets the script? Welcome back to boxing purgatory for Bohachuk.
