“He Smells Loot”: Insiders Believe Tyson Fury’s Social Media Activity Signals An Imminent Return To Chase Lucrative Opportunities

Tyson Fury posted a short video clip of himself and his dad, John Fury, today, saying that they’re attending a “business meeting. ” Fans believe this is a hint that ‘The Gypsy King’ is planning to end his four-month retirement to come back to pick up some more cash to fatten his bank account.

Fury’s Cryptic “Business Meeting” Post

Fury didn’t say who the “business meeting” is with, or for what purpose. It’s believed that he’s coming back for ‘The Battle of Britain’ fight against Anthony Joshua, for which he could get a purse of $100 million if the Saudis get involved.

In a workout clip Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) posted last week, he looked surprisingly muscular and trim, close to the same physique that he had when he defeated Deontay Wilder for the first time in 2020. Some boxing fans on X question whether Tyson is getting extra help.

They want to ensure that Fury is tested well before he returns to the ring to make sure he’s not used any PEDs to transform his physique from the flabby form he showed in his last three fights against Oleksandr Usyk [x 2] and Francis Ngannou. When a fighter suddenly goes from looking chunky and soft to muscular and trim, it’s a red flag for many people.

Fury’s recent four-month retirement is seen as a method for him to manipulate fans and the press to get a mountain of money for his comment. It’s an old trick fighters use to increase the demand and get a better purse when they come out of a fake retirement.

Fury’s Wealth Despite Limited Wins

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Tyson is the sixth wealthiest boxer with a net worth of $160 million. If he can get a couple of mega-million-dollar fights against Anthony Joshua, he could easily push his net worth to over $300 million before retiring again. That would likely be another short retirement to increase the demand before likely returning for the trilogy match against Usyk. However, if Fury isn’t offered at least $100 for the Joshua fight, it’s believed he won’t agree and will go in another direction.

He’s become spoiled from the huge purses he received in his last two fights against Usyk. It doesn’t matter that Tyson lost both fights. He would still expect $100 million for the AJ fight. In other words, he would be rewarded for failure.

For being a washed-up fighter with a weak career resume, Fury has done well financially. He’s made millions with his only two notable career wins against 39-year-old over-the-hill Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. Fury transmuted these empty, superficial wins into a vast fortune, showing that it doesn’t require beating the best to become super rich.

“He Smells Loot” Comeback Imminent

“Tyson Fury is clearly on his way back. He’s getting ready. It wouldn’t surprise me to get an announcement in the next couple of weeks. He’s back in training, and I think these talks will get underway with Anthony Joshua, and I think we’ll get the big fight,” said Gareth A. Davies to Boxing Social about Tyson Fury gearing up to come out of his four-month retirement.

It’s clear that Fury is coming back, because he wouldn’t have trimmed down and shaved his Oliver Twist Fagin beard if he weren’t coming back. He smells loot and is returning to get all he can.

“When I see those Instagram posts and they’re coming almost daily. When I see John being interviewed, saying, ‘My son should have me in the corner and it shouldn’t be Sugarhill Steward,’ I know they’re talking about a comeback behind the scenes. It’s time again. He’s dealt with the two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, and there’s probably not going to be a trilogy fight, even though he would like a trilogy fight. It’s not the right time,” said Gareth.
