The former IBF super featherweight champion Farmer (33-8-1, 8 KOs) sees nothing in Schofield’s game that he needs to be concerned with on Friday. It’s a huge step up in class for the 22-year-old Schofield, who has fought no one near the level of Farmer.

Farmer-Schofield will be fighting on DAZN PPV this Saturday on the Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. event. It begins at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT.

Farmer Predicts Schofield Loss: Outclassed in Ring

“He’s young and up and coming. So, I expect him to come out and try to hurt me and do what Zepeda couldn’t do,” said Farmer to The Showdown at Golden Boy Boxing, talking about his fight against Schofield.

Schofield is a power puncher. So, he’s definitely going to be looking for a knockout early against Farmer, because that’s his best path to victory. Boxing won’t work. Farmer has too much talent in that area for Schofield to win a decision, and it could be one-sided if he tries.

“He’s going to lose and definitely get outclassed. I think people underestimate my strength. I know they know what they’re up against.”

Golden Boy Promotions are throwing the 22-year-old Schofield into the deep end by matching him against Farmer. They saw how Tevin came close to beating their fighter, William Zepeda, in their two fights. On the bright side. Schofield will get some good experience from this fight. So, even if he loses by a wide decision to Farmer, he’ll gain.

Tevin’s Dominance: Zepeda Fight Experience

“He needs to bring his A-game because I just fought 22 rounds with a guy [William Zepeda] that throws over 100 punches [per round]. In the later rounds, I was the dominant one. So, you know I’m going to be in tip-top. This is what I bring. My IQ is at the highest level. I’m strong,” said Farmer.

Schofield isn’t going to be able to average 100+ punches thrown per round like Zepeda was doing against Farmer. But he does have excellent power, and might be able to hurt him at some point if he goes after him early when he’s at his best.

Schofield is at his best early, and he tends to lose power on his shots in the second half. If Floyd can’t knock out Farmer or build a wide lead in the first five rounds, he’ll wind up losing because Tevin will come on strong during the last half.
