ESPN+ Live: Mbilli vs. Sulecki
It’s questionable whether current WBC champion Canelo Alvarez will choose to fight the Mbilli-Sulecki winner in 2026, as the Saudis are likely to target bigger names for the Mexican star than Mbilli or Sulecki.

“He engaged you. In some ways, that suits Sulecki better than having to chase down [Diego] Pacheco and walk into problems,” said Teddy Atlas on his channel. “He can box Mbilli a little bit. He can pick spots and will have that option. I don’t know if he’ll be able to do it with Mbilli.”
Christian Mbilli: Pressure and Power
The volume punching of Mbilli is what Sulecki has to worry about, as he’s not fought this type of fighter in recent years. Without Sulecki, 36, using movement to keep Mbilli away, he may not last more than six rounds on Friday night.
Sulecki doesn’t possess the type of power that past Mbilli opponent, Rohan Murdock, has to give him problems. Without something to earn Mbilli’s respect, he’s going to have to depend on his chin more in this fight to go rounds.
“He’ll have a chance to try it. He will not be forced into a fight that is uncomfortable, like he was against Pacheco. I like Mbilli to win, but in that way, it gives Sulecki a little more breathing room,” said Atlas.
Sulecki is going to have a lot of issues with Mbilli’s pressure and nonstop punching in this fight. Christian is every bit as dangerous as Diego Pacheco, and it’s going to require Sulecki to use all his experience from his 15-year career to have a chance to win.
